Quietness is only achieved with the intervention of a grown-up able to restrain the outbursts of life, typical of such places.

Besides completing the plans of work in every placement of ours, we’re always trying to find new ways to give something back to the community. So when we heard that Nutrition Day was approaching, we decided to ask our French volunteers that were working on a care project, if they would like to carry out a nutrition workshop in one of the orphanages that we work with.

The difficult task of getting people to contribute and be more concerned about mother earth has one crucial component: information. As a part of the Cocha-Banner team here at Projects Abroad, the volunteers are able to directly reach out to the citizens of Cochabamba, and in that way indirectly contribute to the conservation of our earth. After all; knowledge is power, and writing for Cochabanner enables the volunteers to give people the knowledge and the power they need to help make the world better.

This month we decided to visit San Jose Nursing Home as our social activity of this month. Playing games and sharing volunteers and staff had so much fun with the grandfathers and grandmothers. “There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative”.
